The musician has gifted us the first teaser for the animated movie based on her infectious holiday earworm, "All I Want for Christmas Is You." Universal plans to drop the film under the tree sometime next winter.

Yesterday might have been the first day of spring, but the first Mariah Carey's All I Want for Christmas Is Youteaser has her looking cozy in her plaid jammies, with a roaring fire behind her and an adorable puppy by her side.

According to the official press release, All I Want for Christmas Is Youwill center around a young Mariah (voiced by Breanna Yde), who wants a puppy named Princess for Christmas. But before Princess can be hers, she has to pet-sit Jack, described as "a scraggly rascal of a dog; in fact, the worst dog in the county!"

Carey will lend her voice to the movie, in addition to serving as executive producer. In 2015, Carey starred in a holiday Hallmark movie opposite Lacey Chabert (of Mean Girlsfame), so she has some experience with the genre.

While Mariah Carey's All I Want for Christmas Is Youdoesn't have an exact release date yet, it's expected to hit home video (Blu-ray, DVD, Digital HD and On Demand) in time for Christmas 2017.
